His SpecFPL came back at 12, same as a month ago. Going to get a urine sample later this weak to do a urinalyses then depending on that bring him in to get a sample to culture to rule out a kidney infection though he doesn't seem to have symptoms of that.
Vet wants us to keep him on the cerenia and minor fluids till Sunday then see how he does after. So far he has been eating/acting normal.
His weight has been steadily going down for several months since he basically got tightly regulated. We did reduce his calories quite a bit from when we first started insulin. He was all the way up to 485 at one point and weighed just about 18lbs. Then we started insulin and he started gaining weight so we slowly reduced calories.
He has been getting around 316 for past few months and steadily going down, he is currently at around 17.5lbs. He did lose a decent amount from the two instances of vomiting and not eating. We are assuming the weight loss is from the calorie reduction and now that he is regulated and processing them correctly. Or should we be concerned with the weigh loss? From what i can tell from my own research online it seems he is getting below the RER for a cat his size.
