Tis weird to have my own condo again.... I'm used to visiting with the occasional sleep-over in others' condo.
I'm not sure why I haven't posted before, perhaps I am still taking this day and day and perhaps I'm scared of jinxing what is a nice thing for now.... anyways.... Tomorrow will be Tizon's 7 month OTJ annifursary! :shock: been that long? Yup! And he's a changed kitty. On Thursday, his BG was 79! That's a Tizon range number!
He still supports a few extra pounds, but health-wise and mobility wise, he's 5 years younger than he was this time last year. Although he still thinks that some of the high quality food is poison, he has nicely taken to Nature's Variety chicken and turkey raw (and yes, I had to return a bag) and other cheaper kind of food - however he does prefer when the food is forked - next thing will be the crystal plates or bowls!
Everyday, Mr. Tizon gets a buffet variety of cheap food, expensive food and raw food - and he loves to eat still!
His daily Dasuquin capsules and monthly cartrophen shots have helped him tremendously. He goes up and down the stairs a lot more than he used to and without the ache. He can also climb on our bed without being helped... now there is less room for civvie Fred and DH... oh well, mamabean is happy!
His energy level has also increased. He actually chases the laser pointer now, and the way he pounces on the light bring an enormous smile to my face!
On Tuesday, he's going in for blood work - the senior panel. I know that he'll need a dental (1st in 14 years isn't overkill) so I'm starting at step one. I also have to condition the vet into purchasing Bupe... apparently, they have to special order it.... and unless they do... my boy isn't getting a dental there!
I'm sorry that I don't visit more condos every day. There are a lot of kitties and work gets in my way! I wish you all a wonderful Caturday! cat_pet_icon
