04/11 Inky AMPS 415

Is Inky finished his antibiotics now? Getting any meds at all? Is today the 3rd day on the low carb diet? You should see how his numbers respond to the new diet now if so. Any chance of getting a curve in, or some or mid cycle spot checks? I think it may be time for that increase, but want to make sure we have an idea how low he's going on the new diet.

This is really the second day. And he managed to get into his higher carb food this am.

The soonest I can do a curve is Friday. I work Sunday through Thursday from 5:00 am to 1:00 pm with an hour commute each way.

ETA I took all of the supplies to check his glucose with me to bed yesterday, but couldn’t wake up enough to use them.

I am also chronically ill with Psoriatic Arthritis and Fibromyalgia and risk Flaring if I don’t get enough sleep which won’t do either of us any good.

You might want to note the high carb raid in the Remarks section of the SS. It's good to note exceptions to the regular diet. And can explain some of the numbers we are seeing.

I understand on the sleep requirement, you are not alone on that. If you can get a +2 or +3 or whatever before bed time is for you, that'll go a long way to figuring out if he's dropping at night. In which case you'd leave more food out for him so he could keep himself safe. If people are really wanting to get up in the middle of the night, a large glass of water before bed works wonders. ;)
