03/29 Jackson AMPS 362 New Diagnosis

Two Days Ago
I just switched to my 5th and last pen from this box that was over-nighted to me. The 4th one that I was going to use this morning when I held a light up to it was filled with teeny shiny bubbles. I don't know why it would have all these bubbles. The new pen I ended up using has no bubbles and looks normal and clear.
Good luck with the pen!
Safe surfing Jackson 🌊🏄‍♂️😻

It's sad, but I have to do it.
Jackson's tests came back as Acro possitive and IAA negative last Friday evening.
That's why I took a day off.
I may be just in denial phase or just can't see it, but I don't see a lot of information in the Acro / IAA / Cushings forum. And my vet has no experience with this.
So, I am pretty scared about doing this on my own.
Hopefully, I can find some help here.

Thanks for the tag, @Tim & Pookey!

Binx was also recently diagnosed with Acro and we’re still sorting through a lot of stuff and haven’t landed on a direction. @Wendy&Neko definitely has a wealth of knowledge here and she helped me so much!! Linking a couple of my earlier threads when Binx was diagnosed, if you take a look at Wendy’s comments, especially in the newly diagnosed acro one, you’ll find a lot of good reads/links.

Since Binx was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism at the same time, we’re working towards making sure that’s under control before exploring what will likely be Cabergoline treatment. I’m in Canada and the internist quoted me about $300/month for that. I’m not considering SRT yet, as we don’t have insurance and it’s quite expensive. I know Wendy has experience with this procedure though.

It can be very overwhelming adding a new variable, but there’s definitely support here and the more I found I read up, the more at ease I become. Having the information and knowledge makes it feel easier to approach. If you need anything at all, let me know! And of course, as I learn, I will share 🤗

I’m sorry Dayna, I know how hard it is to get one more diagnosis to deal with.
Sending you and Jackson warm thoughts and support.
As mentioned above Wendy is very knowledgeable and Briana has already shared some of her new found insight.

Wishing both all the best and sending vines of comfort 🍃🍀🍃🍀🍃🍀🍃🫂🫶❤️‍🩹
