03/14 Clyde AMPS 515, +4 347 - dose increase advice?

Hello!

Over the last few days we started to see numbers under 200 for the first time. With this though Clyde tends to be bouncing higher than he’s ever been, assuming because his body is not used to these lower numbers.

Should I still be looking to increase 0.25u? I have held the 2.5u for 10 cycles now, but I’m worried the wild swings are even harder on his body?

Should we go up to 2.75u tonight, or try to work this dose a little longer?

Nice to see the couple of lower nadirs. I think you have room to increase to 2.75.
Hi Elise, thanks for the advice. I will do so.

should I be worried about all the bouncing numbers? Or is that normal in the first month or so of treatment?

Bouncing is quite normal until they get used to normal BG. We have seen some bounce all the way to OTJ!

Think of those bounces as the result of the insulin finally starting to work to bring his numbers down to better numbers. Neko has some pretty horrific bounces first times she saw blues too. As he sees those numbers more often, the height and the duration of the bounces will come down.
