Yesterday

Today, Butters's numbers are higher. I should set up a poll for this: Why are her numbers higher? Is it:
a) the emu,
b) the change in timing of the food, or;
c) she is done with this dose and it is time for an increase?

Okay so that rules out b) for now. This is only cycle four of no food in the second half of the cycle.
Wendy, can you please clarify something for me? You said Butters is on too high a dose to feed later in the cycle. But her numbers have been pretty flat and green lately. What are you hoping might happen from this experiment? Are you hoping her numbers will come down so that we can try another decrease?

And today is cycle 14:D. And I'm actually wondering if I try to increase to get her numbers to be more <80?

FWIW, I’m not sure why you would increase? She is having beautiful green cycles with a couple blues mixed in here and there. Plus...you are sleeping ;) I would hold for a bit, if you don’t want to take another 7 day reduction.

fwiw #2 so definitely take this with a grain of gravy coming for the cg w a kitty that can run thru 3-4 colors in a single cycle :eek:... when i squint i see these 0.75 cycles as :D:D:D:D:D:D:D
fwiw bonus comment that you can also freely ignore: going back to when she was tightly regulated in 2020, these cycles are even prettier :bighug:
 
What I meant about late feeds and dose is that for cats that are really close to remission but still blue preshots, a small snack late cycle can help bring them down. Butters isn’t there yet.

Another option not listed, and I am not the best at recognizing this, but some cats have an inverted cycle when the dose is too high. In other wards, I would not increase but rather go the other direction. Plus it is cycle 14, time to go down dose.

I have noticed an inverted cycle here and there...but only since being on this dose and without any hint of lower numbers otherwise.
So you're saying decrease tonight? It feels so weird to be doing it when she hasn't had many numbers below 80, but I'll give it a try. Like Katherine was saying, she has been going up dose with Ruby and Robert has been going up dose with Henry. I had Butters in the same boat as them. Although Butters has less blue preshots than they have...that's the only difference I can see.

You're right:bighug:. I was thinking I needed to get her <80 more to reduce:confused:. Right now I am super grateful to have the opportunity to get some sleep though. Why would I ruin that?:confused:

Yes to the chant. Butters has started meowing incessantly at 5am since she is no longer getting a meal late in the cycle. So how about we chant then:p
I agree, 6 months was a bit too generous. I will correct that on my SS right now. Thank you for pointing it out:bighug:

I really appreciate the comments:bighug:. I read them all before deciding what to do and went back to 2020 like you did. I see what you mean, actually.

I hope you get lots of uninterrupted sleep and that Butters reacts very nicely to the reduction. I always love your updates and how you tell the story of her day :joyful:
