@Beth 73 So glad you are all safe and sound! :D

Oh No! Not another PJ party!! I'll be up for awhile if you need some company. :)
Hi Linda,
He was up to 83 after that bit of HC food. I gave another little bit of LC food and will retest in a bit. I realize that the accepted practice is LC snack first but I'm trying to get him away from cliff's edge sooner than later because it's bedtime for me. I don't do well on too little sleep or interrupted sleep. Glad for your company though! ;)

I'd be doing the same thing in your place. It's tough enough dealing with those low numbers during the day but when you are in need of sleep, best to push him along a little. I wish these guys would learn that those low numbers would be more welcome during the day but alas the little monkeys seem to like holding fire drills at the worst times! :blackeye:

They show no mercy!

I swear they know when we want/have to do something else. Menace has a habit of suddenly honouring me with lower numbers when I have plans to go out. Thankfully nothing so low she was in any danger so far but enough that I end up leaving out far too much food to ensure she doesn't drop too low or if she is due for her shot, I end up giving her a big chicken shot. She's done it to me when I've had theatre tickets, going to curling etc. and then of course I am on edge the entire time I'm gone. I've now got into the habit of checking her about 2 hours before any pre-planned unchangeable outings so I can check her again before I leave or figure out my game plan dose wise. Sometimes it feels like your whole life revolves around them but they are worth it. :cat:

Exactly!! My problem is I can't leave out food for Teasel because his sister has to be on hypoallergenic stuff and his brother needs to have his weight kept under control.

I think your food situation is a little more complicated than mine. My other youngster was a feral rescue and I swear he has to check every dish in the house to see if there is something better than what he got. He plays musical dishes at mealtimes much to the chagrin of his siblings. My only solace is that when I leave out extra food, as long as he hasn't gobbled it all up, Menace will shove him right out of the dish if she wants food and lately he seems to be letting her do it without any further attempt to get at it.

My big news is that I actually caught Menace licking up the last bits of wet food on Monday afternoon when I refused to give her more of her kibble. I darn near fainted on my kitchen floor. So of course, I offered her more of the wet food even though it was about 13% carbs....anything to get her to eat wet food but alas it was not to be. I've continued to offer it to her for every meal and snack since and she's back to burying it. I guess the good news is that if she were running really low, she might actually dig into some wet food. The problem is that I leave wet food down much of the time for my geriatric fellow who grazes so I am now wondering if Menace might be pilfering more than I am aware of. I'd sell my soul to get her to eat canned food! :banghead:

I'll bet she's sneaking licks of wet food more often than you know. They love to mess with us ...o_O

That's what I'm thinking! She's been running a bit higher lately which wouldn't be from the carbs but could be the extra food. I chalked it up to her constantly trying to pilfer her little brother's food when I give him a snack of kibble with her at snack time and me not performing my lunchroom monitor job well enough but I'm not so sure now.

Looks like Teasel had an early nadir tonight or he got a good dose of HC! I'm heading off to bed now and hope you have done likewise. Sweet dreams!:)

Well, poo, I missed the reunion here I see !!:bighug::):bighug::):bighug: . Hugs and blessings to you and yours, Kris and Linda :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:
