DH made it home early this morning. I found puke and poop on the floor this morning. Molly had no breakfast, but her dishes were empty from last night. She also had a poop on the carpet, didn't try to go to the litter box. Is this the sign that it's time? I didn't give any of the ondansetron this morning. @Suzanne & Darcy @Wendy&Neko
 
My kitty goes on the floor when he is a little constipated and he sometimes throws up after. So I think that can be from the constipation. I’m glad DH came home to give you support and I know Molly is comforted by him too. Take care of yourselves. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

My cats do a lot of weird things when they are either constipated or have diarrhea. Avoiding the litter box is definitely one of those things. I believe they associate the litter box with discomfort. I don't necessarily think that means it's "time." Did you restart the Miralax?
 
Oh, and straining from being constipated also can cause vomiting (as well as a lot of other things... you know cats and vomit by now, I'm sure!) I'm not minimizing it, but one vomit isn't enough to get me super concerned. You didn't say, did you, what was the poop like? Was it really hard? I have been known to squeeze it to see how hard it is (through a plastic bag of course!) Did it look hard? Small round balls? What was it like?

I seen the vomit and knew, she was constipated. Her poop was a little hard. I did squeeze it was a paper towel. It was a good size poop. She hasn’t ate much today. Hasn’t been in the litter box. She’s currently on my lap.

It may be that she is not eating because you didn't give the Ondansetron today. Only being a little hard is probably good -- at least it's not rock hard. That would be very hard on her to pass it. Do you have Cerenia that you can try? It's not as good at treating nausea as Ondansetron, but it does help some cats who do very well on a daily Cerenia. I've had quite a few cats on both of those meds daily. I'm happy she's on your lap. I think that is a good sign. Can you try to feed her something favorite? Fishy stuff? All meat baby food? Hills A/D cat food (a recovery food that's very palatable ... available from the vet.) Fancy Feast broths? Churu sticks (Tiki stiks are lower carb). Deli ham... little pieces of turkey or ham? At this point feed her whatever she likes most and will eat. But I do think the Ondansetron and possibly Cerenia would help her to feel more like eating.
 
If she can't poop, she won't be feeling too much like eating! Did you try Gravy lovers or anything with gravy; it made my Ti-Mousse eat. At one point, we don't care about carbs...
