about 10 minutes. Should I test again? How long since the last test?
Straight and stiff legged with nose to the ground.Like drunk walking or just straight/ stiff legged?
I'd grab a test 15 mins from the first and see where you are
Also trying to hide under chair, sofa, etcStraight and stiff legged with nose to the ground.
Yes—also gave him some MC.Did he eat his hc?
No—just stiff in legs.Does it seem like his body hurts? His tummy?

Thanks for your good thoughts. The ER (Blue Pearl) confirmed that Walter’s BG and ketones were fine. All the other basics checked out as well. He’s still walking funny. He’s hiding in the closet ( and is quiet). When he walks around —he howls. I think he’s hurting somewhere but the ER couldn’t confirm anything. I’ll see how the night goes and take him to my regular vet tomorrow. I called him from the ER—he thought that it could be high BP but that checked out ok. Bizarre. Gave him his regular insulin shot when we returned from the vet.
sigh.
I'm glad he's stable but sorry he isn't his usual self.

Do you think it might be diabetic neuropathy?Poor little Walter, and poor you too Zelda.I hope he does well tonight and feels better in the morning.
Thank you for updating us.

I also thought that it might be constipation but they didn’t think that was the case. They also pressed on the abdomen. To be honest, I was somewhat skeptical about what they were saying and doing. Now he hasn’t eaten for several hours and unfortunately I had given him insulin when we got home. He’s also drinking very little. Still acting weird.I hope that he has been urinating okay?! Sometimes they can develop crystals which is like sand in a hose. The howling is usually seen when their belly/abdomen is pressed on. I am assuming that the ER vets must have ruled that out though. Has been pooping without an issue as well? Sometimes constipation can create discomfort. No trauma to the spine or pelvis, correct?
Thank you! I still can’t figure out if that’s what he has — he keeps lying down next to the water and the food dishes dishes but doesn’t eat/drink anything. When I think about it he has been lying down more over the past few days.Walter sure keeps you on your toes! Here is a link about neuropathy. http://www.felinediabetes.com/weak-back-rear-legs.htm

Well—still not eating (except for a very little late last night from my hand) and he’s drinking very little. When I took his AMPS; I thought it was 34 but took again and it was 155 ( had given him very very little honey at the 34 and then immediately took the next test – I think 34 was a problem with the meter). He’s alert (never wasn’t) but the body movement is status quo.Hi Zelda, how is Walter doing?
I was hoping too but he seems to be the same.I'm sorry I wasn't around yesterday...poor Walter. I hope he's doing better this morning. Very unusual symptoms....
I’m out again this morning... if you haven’t already please start a new condo this morning... I’m sure many here on the forum want to know how he’s doing...I was hoping too but he seems to be the same.

I would check his kidney values with some bloodwork.Thank you! I still can’t figure out if that’s what he has — he keeps lying down next to the water and the food dishes dishes but doesn’t eat/drink anything. When I think about it he has been lying down more over the past few days.
