11/6 Jude | AMPS 103; +5 112; PMPS 147

Jude is crusing along the beach. Do not contemplate climbing up that lemon tree sweet boy. Stay close to the ground.
Happy Furrrrrriday Mary and kitties (how's the rest of the furry gang?)

Of course you can! I have FIVE cats. I'm the stereotypical crazy cat lady. Jude came from the Humane Society, and then came Hazel Jane, a feral, who used to come for food, but then I fixed her and brought her inside to recover from her spay, and then she stayed. Then a feral cat brought her kittens to my backyard a few years back: John Lewis, Harper Lee, and Zelda Louise. I tried to find homes for them, but (unbelievably) no one would take them, so they're a part of my clowder now. Here are the pictures:

So not only do Khloe & Hazel look so similar, but Hazel also has the same middle name as me?!? Crazy how the universe works!

I love your gang, they are all so pretty 💜 who rules the roost? lol

Omg Mary your crew is just the cutest! Do they all get along? I can’t believe people weren’t lining up the block to take John Lewis, Harper Lee, and Zelda Lou! But I guess their loss is your gain :)

And I know we’ve talked about this before but I love your names so much!

They do not all get along which is a big PIA. It’s THE GIRLS! Hazie, Harpie, and Zeldie. Well, it’s really Hazie. She’s a sassafras. So we have a house divided. I gave the triples literary names bc I was hoping to ‘market’ them as the southern literary trio (all Alabama authors), when I was trying to find homes for them, and the names stuck.

They're all so adorable!! And all so lucky to have you! I'm also laughing because Hazel Jane LOOKS like a cat who was supposed to be inside for only a little but decided she'd rather just stay there.

Hazel is the most spirited of them all. Does not like to be held, but comes up for lots of head bumps and scritches. She often says, ‘Love me, LOVE ME!’ But ‘DO NOT TOUCH ME.’ This is a funny picture of her. This was what she would do when she was feral and would come for food. It’s like she’d just rang the doorbell.

Well, I have to keep them separated, and between Jude and Hazel, it’s Hazel that is the queen. With the triples, I don’t think there is one that rules over the others. John Lewis is huge (19 lbs), and he could squash his sisters, but he’s pretty sweet. The triples are all very sweetly natured.

It’s so funny because Jo and I were also saying that it’s always the girls!! We now have five cats (Parker and I had two each and then we got Moonie), and I swear if it were just the two boys we would have been fully integrated in a couple days. But since the girls are all still cautious around each other, we’re still sleeping in separate rooms after 3-4 months with no clear end in sight 🤣

The literary trio is just so cute 🥰. I’m sure they’re thrilled they got to stay with you. Maybe they were casting some spells of their own to dispel any potential adopters :)
