Simon 8/14 | AMPS 360 + +2.75 343 +6 309 PMPS 313

So I accidentally pushed a bit too hard when expelling the bubble from the syringe on the PM shot tonight. This is something I've done a few times now, and I'm not sure if it's unsanitary to put the needle back into the vial to redraw. So Simon got 4u tonight instead of 4.25u

As long as the needle hasn't gone into Simon or hasn't touched anything else, you should be okay reinserting it into the vial. What you want to avoid is reinserting the syringe and pushing insulin back into the vial or pen, as the syringe has lubricant that they say can eventually cause a break-down in the insulin's efficacy.

Thanks, that's good to know! I'm sure I'll continue accidentally losing too much insulin, it's a little tricky measuring out those quarter doses
