(Yes he sleeps on the kitchen table…we are out numbered by animals in our house, we pick our battles over here)

I gave him a partial fur shot last night and felt terrible about it. I don’t think the pangs of guilt will ever fully go away though I’m able to shake it off and know that he will come back down again. Ive been stealthily trying to find a new injection site, seeing which areas he tolerates me messing with while I pet or brush him. Sometimes his back randomly twitches and I believe he has some nerve damage from previous injuries (one most likely being a poisonous snake bite😕) but I think the side of his chest is going to be my best bet. I believe we’ve been having some absorption issues because the days I’ve been able to move the site, he’s seen more action.

I hope everyone has a relaxing day today. Much love and nose boops.

He's so adorable and love his little fangs! We all do fur shots on occasion, it happens. He will recover!
Be kind to yourself!
You are doing a great job trying t figure out all of the complicated aspects of shots and food and on and on....He's one lucky boy!
Sending lots of love and hugs. Give Mister lots of extra kisses please, safe surfing 💚 :bighug:🏄‍♂️

Thank you so much Staci! He’s my baby.
Give Ivy hugs and kisses right back! 🥰❤️

Snake bite?!?!?!? OMG!
Yes! There were many of them around our property in eastern Kentucky and he came home one day with what looked like two big fang marks on his lower back. By that night he had to crawl with his front legs to get to his food bowl. So scary. By morning though he had taken off and I was in a panic all day (this was right around the time I first started feeding him) and he would NOT let me catch him to take him to the vet. I ended up giving him medicine and antibiotics through his food and thankfully he healed but he hates his back being touched, even when I pet him I avoid certain spots. I’ll never know for sure what happened but my guess is he got caught in something or it really was fang marks. I’m so thankful every day that he survived out there long enough to gain his trust and bring him inside. He’s a tough little guy
