Hope everyone had a good weekend
We had our appointment with the new internist on Friday and I think it went better than the last one. I’m not sure anyone is going to be exactly right but I felt heard and understood with this specialist. We ultimately decided not to do an ultrasound, as it didn’t seem like it would change much of what we’re doing. Binx is no longer having diarrhea and any other symptoms are gone.
We did decide to run updated labs and I’m happy to report his kidney values have come down since all the dehydration from the diarrhea/vomitting. However, the internist suspects it might be his hyperthyroidism skewing the values, since we’re keeping Binx on the high end of normal for his T4. The hyperT is also likely the reason he hasn’t really been able to gain any weight.
I’ll do a recheck in 4-6 weeks and go from there.
