I am so proud of myself and my patience pants! I didn't freak out over the higher numbers and he appears to be coming back down. Tomorrow is the first day of spring break, so I am happy to have a break from work and get some time to spend with hubby and the zoo.

Indy was very demanding for his salmon treats this morning, as usual. Glad to see the old man feeling well. Trying really hard to not go looking for trouble. We are doing the best we can and as long as Indy feels good, then that is enough. I don't know how much longer he will be around, but however long that is, I want him to have as many good days as possible. <3

Safe surfing today everyone!

Patience pants are hard, so big congrats!! Enjoy the time off with the whole crew 😻

I like what you said about the important thing is Indy feeling well and having as many good days as possible. A really great benchmark for us all 😊

I wanted to rush to increase his dose....but I was like....no! Jessica....keep those patience pants on!

I'm trying really hard to follow my own words. I held onto my first senior cat for longer than I should have. Second senior cat (who was my soul kitty), I think I did better, but still held onto her a little too long. It is such a hard decision. But, Indy is very obviously telling us that he is still happy and loving life. If I could only find his brush....
Hope you have a great time off work! :)

At first I thought you meant you were going to the zoo, and then I realized you meant everyone in your signature 😁 I miss all the reptiles I used to have when I was younger
Yeah we call our house the zoo. We are actually getting photos done with 2 more members of the zoo on Sunday (the tegu and one of the ball pythons). The portrait studio specializes in fur babies but was super excited when I told them I wanted photos done with scale babies instead.

It’s such an incredibly difficult experience, the fact that we even have to make a decision is heartbreaking. If we truly had a choice, we’d keep them forever. Hope you can be easy on yourself 🤗 Agreed that Indy is giving all signs of doing well and he gets such great care from you (and your husband)!

I think this is a great attitude. ❤️ And I'll add that your quality of life matters too, and that you and Indy deserve to have as many good days together as possible! (And I'm so glad that he seems to be enjoying the heck out of life! He's an inspiration, really.)

Agreed. I know there will be days that we are overwhelmed but as long as it is not all of the time, then we will push forward. Indy really is an inspiration, just got lucky with him and medical advances. Solensia for his arthritis has been an absolute game changer.
