Good god.. some days are just harder and rat trash more than others. Things more integrated.. thankfully, but there's tons more to do now.. but its easier. its just part of things too now. but there is VERY little time for anything extra.... for ex. a neighbor friend caught me for a chat, everything was late last night.... Ugh. We try our best.. ๐Ÿ’– Got a better handle.

Today tho.... was yuck! I crashed out.. because of the fluids, I can't give him his Lantus near his scruff anymore, so now its the flank/tummy and I'm still learning because tenting isn't as easy as the neck and he was sitting up today (cause he was thirsty....) at shot time, and while trying to tent his skin.. I accidentally pushed the insulin out and it sprayed out; I could not pull anymore because I had poked him already trying to find a spot and you can't be sure what got in....... just a mess. And there's always a rush because of time, its not ideal for things to get late.. cuz then we're testing late. Terrible. Im telling u i crashed out.. things just go wrong.. but we again, do our best. :( And I do my best.. to accept that that has to be ok.

His numbers are ok.. but something's going on, the pressure, or the Niacinimide too/maybe.. but something. He was at .75 u.. now we at 1.25 u and looking like we need more..Know kitties need what they need, but this happened last year too when his pressure went ๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿผ...... I really dunno. Numbers looked good on this dose! then pfft... sigh. shrug. And his PS are ick sometimes!!!! (for us.. and he really doesn't feel good higher than say 150-160.. which makes me sad.. he's 200+ now at times!)

Any thoughts or advice much appreciated... cause womp. ๐Ÿคก

Increase tonite/tmw?.. ๐Ÿ˜žโค๏ธโ€๐Ÿฉน And because of the kidney things, I'm not remembering to update SS at the time tests done or soon after, so there are missing entries.. going to try fix it today..

Y'know, I remember the sugar things, I forget the kidney things, I remember the kidney things, I forget the sugar things.............. sigh... smh. ๐Ÿ’”

Of course you will forget things now and then. Thereโ€™s so much going on itโ€™s so difficult to balance it all and remember everything at all times.
Hang in there. We are sending you and Pudge lots of good wishes and positive vines ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿซ‚๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’•โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿฉน

I agree with Elise. You have some room to increaseโ€” although be prepared for lower greens at night where you are already seeing a lot more green. His numbers are not bad though!

Iโ€™m sorry you had a bad day! Keep on keeping on! I know what you mean about not having extra time in your scheduleโ€ฆ or it puts everything off schedule.

This is a lot to juggle and it takes a toll. ๐Ÿ’š Go easy on yourself, please! Would it help to write up some kind of daily schedule to check things off on, maybe, if you're worried about forgetting steps?

I hear you on not keeping the spreadsheet up to date all the time. With all the different meds Gen's on, and the different things I'm trying to track, I often forget to write something or other down and have to do my best with it retroactively.

You've got expert advice above about increasing! I'll just add that those numbers don't look bad. They're not ideal if you're hoping to achieve remission, but they're well below anything dangerous, and if you were following the standard veterinary recommendations instead of the FDMB paradigm, I think he'd be considered a very well-regulated diabetic. You know him best, so if you think these numbers are not great for him, that's how it is! But try not to put too much pressure on yourself for perfect outcomes, especially when you have to balance so many considerations? At least, that's my two cents. I don't think we do our cats any favors by driving ourselves to the brink of collapse. Hugs!

I know how exhausted you are! Itโ€™s hard managing all that. Max had so much of the same issues. I would increase as thereโ€™s lots of 100+ bg.
ughโ€ฆ.. its challenging for sure right ๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’–.. glad on the other side more.. but it's been a big adjustment. im glad tho he just feels better than he was doing..

thanks for advices โœจ was thinking will do this weekend as there's some things i needed to catch up on today.. woof. probably PM tmw..

thanks for that.. im gonna try not to be so hard on us.. been so overwhelming.. but doing best.๐Ÿ’˜๐Ÿ’˜๐Ÿ’˜๐Ÿ’˜๐Ÿ’˜ last night he refused fluids.. :/ oh well. he hasn't been feeling good later in the evening cause his numbers have been a bit higher than feels good for him, but hoping to change the time of his fluids see if that helps.. cause he really needs them. also going to buy a bigger gauge needle so it goes faster.. tho I hope it don't hurt too much more. ugh. there's been too much, im juggling ten thousand things.. plus life things. im so tired. lol but trying to keep up..... we trying. :bighug:๐Ÿฅฒ haha.. ๐Ÿ’—

tysm for saying........ im just like whelp, haha.. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ˜… but that's true.. so I guess been taking time if able to do so.. was thinking maybe tmw PM..

thanks so much.. me too.. haha. everything just been so strained and been so stressful.. it was just devastating at the time lol. but he did ok! tho it caught up a bit later.. and bah!!! its crazy.. puts everythinggg off.. not time much rn.. I figure as we do things tho, go on, moving things around and finding time will be easier because I'll condense and be able to be more flexible about things cause we've been doing it.. I've found that to be case already thankfully... ugh. ๐Ÿ’˜๐Ÿ’˜๐Ÿ’˜๐Ÿ’˜ I got some nice updates too.. going to do thread now.

oh boy does it.... im totally burnt out. I don't feel like doing none of the things now sometimes.. but I do. ๐Ÿ’” โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿฉน and ohohoho have definitely been writing stuff done cause otherwise it'd be impossible.. so have been keeping a log.. but even then those can be messed up, but I been doing it. couldnt possibly remember otherwise..

omg the SS.. I hate backtracking but we gotta right... ugh. ๐Ÿคก

tysm for the encouragement.. we could use it! haha.. yeah they're not.. but his PS could be better.. and we gonna see.. ๐Ÿฅฐ

I agree the numbers do not look bad but disagree but have to disagree about standard veterinary practices.

There is no reason to increase right away, but there is room. If burnt out thatโ€™s a good reason to take more time before the increasing. You just donโ€™t want to wait so long that resistance sets in. You are nowhere near that in my opinion.
