Uneventful day. The libre alarm did go off a couple of times and then self-corrected slightly. He had a weird spike right before AM shot time. But I'm going to say it was sensor wonkiness...since we are reaching the end of its life cycle. Current concern is what to do on Saturday since we are supposed to go out of town. If he wasn't having these low greens, I wouldn't worry as much, but they are there and I'm worried he will need intervention. Our roommate will be home but we use hubby's phone for the libre since he works from home. Wish things would just be boring.

Quite the dive!! I wonder if you can give a “vacation dose” if you’re leaving, just to be certain Indy won’t dive again - but assess what that dose is on Saturday, after you’ve had the week of data. Someone else will jump in before Saturday to help with more experienced advice I’m sure!

Safe surfing, Indy!

So, he had a flat night after an immediate deep dive again. The last couple of days he has risen quickly towards the end of the cycle which has made us confident in maintaining the 1u dose but then he dives super quickly in the first 2 hours. I don't understand what is going on. That diving behavior makes me wary to shoot if he isn't at a higher number at shot time.

Any insight? What would other people do given the data? Just remember with his IBD we don't have MC or HC food just his regular LC and Karo syrup. So guiding with food is fairly difficult...

Do you have MC or hc in the same novel protein that you use as his LC?

We don't. Smalls just has low carb. And we didn't do the elimination diet with him, so he actually has 3 flavors of smalls that don't upset his GI symptoms.

Just when I tried to do FF with gravy, it triggered an IBD episode. So we have to stick with Karo syrup for interventions.

well, we are at shot time and he is at 109. I want to be brave....Indy deserves it. But what if he dives again? :-/ He is 100 points lower than he was last night.
