Good morning, friends! Hope you have a pleasant Monday. It's a federal holiday in the US, so I'm home with Gen.

We had an exciting night, with Libre alarms and a (nearly) all blue-and-green cycle, and not nearly enough sleep. (I do believe I will take a nap soon.) I've also gone ahead with my planned increase this morning ... I hope that was the right choice.

I hope all your kitties surf safely today!

Well, I'm not really sure if the increase was a good idea. It's been a bit nerve-wracking today (and I'm glad I was home).

Gen clearly wasn't feeling his best earlier, also. There was some diarrhea, and he wasn't eating a lot. (I, foolishly, had tried skipping the mirataz last night because he was so hungry - he wound up eating almost double his normal amount of PM food! But I gave him some today.) He's still a little on the low energy side, but he's eating more normally now, and his numbers are starting to curve back up after hanging out in the 50s/lower 60s for three hours or so.

I think I'll stick to the increase, as he has stayed above 50. I hope he can flatten out a little. Also I'm almost out of mirataz, so clearly I need to get some more, stat!

I was going to take his food away at AMPS +8, but then he was trending downwards again and I had dinner plans (I am not getting out enough right now), so I put it back. Wish I hadn't after all, as he shot up around PMPS again (to a height of 326 at +0.25). Tomorrow, I won't be home from the office until probably AMPS +9 at the earliest, but I'll take it away then. His new autofeeder is supposed to arrive on Wednesday, when I'll also be working from home.

Really hope the vet gets back to me about Gen's ultrasound, diagnostics etc tomorrow, though I'm sure she'll be swamped after the three-day weekend.

Gen says it's time to stop futzing around at my desk and head to bed. Goodnight, folks!
