Yesterday's thread!

Exciting day yesterday. Sam went out to run errands and the cat's Libre was showing 40s/50s intermittently. I was trying to avoid testing him until Sam got home to help but Esse was kind of following me around and meowing, which made me think he might actually be low and thus hungry, so I felt like I couldn't wait any more and managed to get a handheld test in solo.

Turns out he was fine and just 1) normal hungry and 2) worried about where Sam was (because he so rarely leaves the house without me, lol, I'm the usual errand girl).

I'm loving that reply...
I was scammed. 🤣
Those libre tend to run low, especially when the cat is in the 50's, no? I know Regan had issues with hers going off a with the alarm a lot.
Congrats on getting it done alone too! Hope he gives you a lovely holiday season.❤️

It's interesting, I actually just pulled a bunch of data and my findings are that (for us at least) it's not that low. In fact, most cases we actually had limes on the Contour were recorded as greens on the Libre. So I'm always okay with double-checking on the handheld if I'm in any doubt, just in case. You can see more on the Libre/Contour tab in my spreadsheet if you're interested! I think it's safer to say the Libre is not very accurate in those better numbers than to say it runs low in better numbers.

In this case I think it was sort of 'stuck' on the lows because prior to pacing around the house he had been crammed into the little hut of his cat tree and I think that was messing with the (relatively newly-applied) sensor.
