He was a scary fix the last several weeks. But so worth it! He's actually my second, and my first also went into remission within 2mo as well. Diabetes is an awful illness, but I have been blessed with that. I pray everyone gets to either remission or at least regulated.

Thank you. This is such a blessing, that it worked out this way for him/us.
He'll always be one my two faves. But this will allow me to work more closely with and got my newly diagnosed cancer girl. She just got her first dose of chemo yesterday, so this is so helpful to not worry and deal with the extra.
Anyone know what the values he has to stay in, to be still considered remission? I didn't see anywhere saying

Thank you! Actually it's a funny story. The area we live in put these big rocks out to stop people parking in the green belt between the houses. He was cleaning up the inside of his ancient Subaru ready for the start of ski season (finally) and had stopped just in front of one of those rocks outside our house. Thought the car was in park. It was in drive. He accidentally hit the gas while leaning over to pick something up from the floor. It went over a 2 ft high, solid lump of rough granite! But the damage actually seems remarkably minor (not sure how), although it'll have to be officially looked at to make sure. He's covered for a rental until someone can look at it next week, so it could be worse. Just a lot of running around to pick up the rental and all that good stuff!

So do you live in WA? What with the Snoqualmie Falls and all. I used to love visiting them, until they had to put that awful cage-like thing at the bottom.🙄 I'm sorry my kids never got to see it in all its glory
 
He wasn't amused at all. He was convinced he'd totaled it. Because the front bumper unclipped itself. Until I pointed out, while laughing, that they're designed to do that to protect the rest of the car from damage. And that it would clip right back into place! 😂 Those old Subarus are tough.

Yep, we're in Covington, so Snoqualmie Falls is reasonably close. We went out there a year or so back when there was a lot of snow up there just for a wander around. The Falls are still pretty impressive when they're the only thing moving in a frozen landscape, but the safety measures have definitely changed how they look. And not for the better. Thankfully we're not close enough to have been hit with the recent flooding - we managed to escape all of that being a little higher ground than Kent and Auburn.
