We got Bear’s labs back today and it seems he has low electrolytes.. amongst his obviously unregulated bs levels
His vet gave us two options basically, to hospitalize him at a 24 hr clinic where they will give him IV and also a fast acting insulin to regulate him better. Not sure how i feel about the fast acting insulin- but if it is in his best interest, I would do it. I just know when we first started he was sensitive to insulin which is why we tried slgs.. so i do worry about him crashing.. i know they would monitor him but im still not sure if i like the idea.. but if it is what has to be done.
Option 2 is daily out patient care at their clinic with iv only..
I dont think theres a way we can perk up his electrolytes at home at this time since hes been so poorly
Attached labs if anyone sees/notices anything else or has any advice/recommendations on how to get our bear cub back feeling better
