Bell broke that bounce really fast for a change... and then continued to bounce. But it is nice to see her not bounce for 6 cycles. Maybe this is a tiered bounce break, which we've seen before. She is doing well. I am having a problem with her eating her PMPS meal. I'm pretty sure it is the gabapentin, which I know can be nasty for cats. But she eats it fine in the morning. Maybe she is just hungrier in the morning. I will troubleshoot that problem. Most likely will divide up the dose into multiple meals at night. I tried a Churu (without the medication) and she wanted nothing to do with it (Blair liked it!). After all that I just gave her some plain food but I think I spooked her trying to get her to eat. Giving her a break now and will try again in an hour. I hope she doesn't get sick in the meantime from an empty stomach. Always something!

My parents' cat is having weight loss and fur matting issues, and bloodwork showed a 162 for BG, so I went over there today and poked Moe and he was a 90, so I think we can rule that out. I made a thread in the main forum (? - Looking for advice/guidance on my parent's cat (weight loss, extreme fur matting). Bloodwork in post.) if anyone here has advice, it would be much appreciated.

Oh Seth, I’m sorry she’s not wanting to eat at Pmps.
I hope she doesn’t get sick either and will eat for you tonight.
I’ll go read your post about Moe. I hope you get some good advice about him too 🥰🙏💕

Thank you, Staci. She got hungry enough that she ate all her gabapentin and is now purring on my lap :). I've read the gabapentin tastes bad so I don't blame her. Still trying to avoid the daily pilling route, so I'm willing to waste some meds to keep Queen Bell happy. Thanks for the Moe advice, we're all worried for him. I don't have a good feeling about the situation, poor guy. Good news is he is still a very happy cat.

Sending lots of pawsitive wishes for Moe, so glad they are being proactive and trying to get answers 🙏
Keep us posted ❤️‍🩹

For the gaba, have you tried a compounded (pill or liquid or even treats?)
I know they will be more expensive but you could maybe investigate it and see what you think.
I get chicken flavored breakable quad tabs from Wedgewood pharmacy in 100 mg doses so I can break them into 1/4 pieces for a 25 mg dose.
I still have to pill Ivy with it, but I’m able to do that.

Since it’s chicken flavored it’s possible a cat might eat it on their own, I just don’t know.
You could call the pharmacy and ask them.
I know another pharmacy is Stokes that does compounding and I’m sure there are others. 💕
