His bg hit 2.7, should I concider lowering his dose? I have given him food with higher carbs and will keep an eye on him. He seems okay and has just eaten.

Yes, a drop below 5 is a reduction if you are following SLGS. Please test 20-30 mins after food to see if he has headed above 2.8?

I just checked him and his bg is at 3.7

Please don't feed any more high carbs for now. Just some of his regular low carb food is fine.
How long is it since he ate the HC food? You want to monitor till 2 hours after the HC to ensure he doesn't drop once the carbs from the food wear off.

I gave him food at around 12:20
Looks like Arnold likes Lantus.
