Marvin Dose advice please

Marvin has been earning a lot of reductions! How marvelous! I would not be too hasty just yet to increase his dose. He is still getting very good numbers. Does he have ketones?

I would at least wait and see what his PMPS is. Also, I would probably hold at 7 units for tonight at least and see how it goes.
 
Just did a blood ketone check and he is at .3, however the strips I have are old. I still need to order new ones.

We are now at 306 at +8. Ugh I knew I should not have gone down a whole unit :arghh:

If you will be able to monitor tonight’s cycle then it’s probably okay to go back up to 8 units. He has had a lot of back to back reductions lately and they don’t always work. Also some of the reductions were kind of borderline (like 68). But if you would rather wait until tomorrow to go back up to 8 then that’s okay too. All the sequential reductions may have depleted his depot a bit too much. But let’s look on the bright side….Marvin is an acrocat and he’s earning reductions! It’s amazing how well he is doing.

Thank you, I can monitor tonight so I will go back up to 8. On the off chance he earns another reduction in tonights cycle, what would you recommend I reduce to tomorrow or should I reduce at all just yet?

I have checked his spreadsheet a couple times this morning, but it’s not updated. It must not be time for you yet. As you said, on the off chance he earned another reduction — then take it. We can always go back up, but Marvin must be kept safe I don’t want you fighting to keep his numbers up. Hopefully all went well and was stable last night. I am just commenting now in case I am not around later.

Sorry I didn't get on here earlier to check. He has been in the 200s for most of the day. Just had 167 at PMPS so continuing with 8 units tonight.
