Hello!
Maria was diagnosed with FELV (Feline Leukemia Virus). The virus has become active and has created various issues for her such as pancreatitis which warrants diabetes mellitus, stomatitis, swollen abdomen, anemia, high liver values and various others. Urine tests showed no germs.
Because she is three-legged and walks differently, she has spondylitis and can sometimes be in pain, this may be the reason she pees outside her litter box but also her general appearance. Unfortunately I have another cat in the house who probably has the FELV virus.
I give her VETOMUNE and Hepatiale Forte. The vet also mentioned virbagen (interferons) but its price is very high!
What we can do is treat the symptoms as best we can.If my other cat has the virus I will have to test him often, if he doesn't I will have to separate them..
Is there anything more I can do?
