Bella's Erratic readings

Well, she is high and staying there.

I think she has a kidney/urinary infection. She acts very weird when she does. My urine strips show high Leukocytes, normal Nitrites, and a 6.0 pH. That doesn't indicate an infection but I dont know - so off we go to the vet.
She went low yesterday so she is most likely bouncing which doesn’t clear immediately. Can take up to 6 cycles. While High she might feel a little lethargic because the glucose is not being taken up by her cells for energy. Good Luck at the Vet.

Vet saw some cells in her urine that looked like bacteria. Gave Covenia shot. Not best but seems to work for Bella. If no response in a few days, we will do amoxy.

Vet said Bella was a little dehydrated too so daily fluids.

We will know more about her bloodwork when tests come back tomorrow.

Please say a prayer for improved kidney values. .

Thanks for the update :bighug: Hope Bella and you have a restful evening :bighug:

I’ll update labs and spreadsheet shortly but in a nutshell, the labs showed Bella was getting anemic and her kidney values have worsened.
We gave a shot of epigen and she seems to already be more alert. That could also be from yesterdays antibiotic shot.

Now back to getting her glucose under control. This morning she was > 600!

Glad that something has her more alert. Can you please post a new thread for today? If you're not sure how (or why) you can find the information here.
Posting a new thread on a new day with a link to the previous post helps those of us better able to help you and allows us to keep track on what is going on :).
