Yesterday was an incredibly active day and the a.m. cycle. She may have been breaking a bounce plus I gave an increase so it was like a double whammy.

I made her new 20% recipe with lamb and sweet potato, and she didn’t apparently approve of it :arghh:
She turned her head away when I offered it to her. It was much higher in carbs, so therefore there was more sweet potato than normal, I think that’s what turned her off.
I wanted to see if she would like it or not. Ultimately, I spiked it with some fancy feast gravy 14% just to see if I could get her to eat it. She tentatively licked at it, but wasn’t thrilled completely. Not sure how I’m gonna handle that going forward. I may speak to the nutritionist to see if she has any suggestions.

I bumped her dose back up a smidge last night and she did a bounce as well so we did sleep:)

Today it appears she’s coming back down again with some gusto

I need her to be somewhat stable today so this is gonna be interesting because I’m gonna have to leave at some point today. DH’s son and his wife are having their first child and she was admitted yesterday to the hospital and they are inducing her.
Baby will most likely be born today and we will have to go to the hospital at that point. Luckily, it’s only 10 minutes away, but I will still need to be out and of course with Ivy on an increased dose and doing her fancy diving could be challenging:facepalm:
Paws crossed she’s not too active for me when I need to go out:nailbiting:

Wishing everyone a safe and boring day :cat:

Good morning, Staci.
Glad you were able to get some sleep last night.
I see Ivy has dived into the greens this morning. I hope she steadies, and you are able to go to the hospital if the baby is born today.
It is another cold day. Brr, the rain mixture has finally stopped here. I want the summer! :arghh:
Wishing you both a calm day and safe surfing, Ivy!

Hi Staci,

oh my... that was a lot to deal with yesterday! Thank god it looks like she became steady today. Hope you can go out without worries. Good luck with the new dose! I hope it helps her to stay in good numbers but drama-free. I am so happy the libre survived this!

I am sorry to read she didn't like the new food. I think that mixing it with something she likes is a good idea. Maybe she learns to like it like that. Acquired taste. :cat: I have this sad picture in my had, how you spent all this time in the kitchen and she just turns her head away. Be nicer to your mum, Ivy!

Hope you have a wonderful time with the new family member! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Staci :)

Looks like Ivy had some action right away. I hope she'll give you some peace of mind so you're more confident to leave the house.
It's great that the hospital is close so you can be close to Ivy. She does like keeping you close to her :D

I can imagine it's a pain to make a new recipe only for her to turn her back on it. I hope your nutritionist helps you figure out the right receipt. It's great you have someone you can trust.

Congrats to the new parents. I hope the birth will go smoothly and the baby is well.

Wishing you a boring day :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Madeline, thanks for your sweet wishes. I got to work hard all day. No baby news yet.
Ivy got to keep me home today.
And she was very steady after that early dive today.
It’s freezing out today in our region. Brrr.
I hope you stayed warm, too.

Wishing you and Butch a calm and boring night :bighug::bighug::bighug:

She seems to be back up in safe blues now, hopefully she will stay safe and you can go see the new baby!
She had one quick and early dive today, Cecile.
I wasn’t sure where she was going today. Then she slept on my bedroom chair for the afternoon.

No baby yet…so far I’m still home. Ivy is happy with that.
Hope you have a nice night :cat::bighug:

Hi Heike, I was actually shocked when Ivy turned her head when I offered her the new food. She’s actually never done that before, so it was very surprising. I didn’t realize how fussy she would be. I think she prefers more meat than carbs in her recipes.
And I did work hard to make that yesterday in the middle of all of her diving and my testing and running up and down the steps, bringing her food. It was quite a dayo_O

Yes, I had everything crossed yesterday hoping and praying Libre would hold out. I was so nervous. I sure wish it was more stable when it came to those low numbers that adds a layer of stress I don’t need:blackeye:

It was a super busy workday here today and thank goodness I actually didn’t have to leave. At the moment no baby news unless something happened and I just haven’t heard about it yet.
I guess if not today it’ll happen tomorrow and that’ll mess up my grocery shopping. Lol.

I hope you and Binie are having a relaxing night and probably even in bed by now :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Staci.
I am sure Ivy was happy that you were home today.
Glad to hear she was very steady after her early dive.
I hope there is baby news soon and Ivy is behaving when you need to leave for the hospital.
Yes, so cold! I needed to go out and meet my friend for a late lunch. The wind was ridiculous. Brr
Wishing you a calm night and safe surfing, Ivy!

Congratulations on the soon to come new baby! How wonderful the hospital is close and I assume they live nearby too.

Glad Ivy leveled out but sorry she turned up her nose after all that work! These cats of ours know how to get their way. I’ve had days of throwing out full cans of food because I couldn’t figure out what his highness wanted. I hate wasting food!

I’ve been thinking of you when they show all the weather PA is getting. Nice you had the generator put in. Nice for peace of mind!

Ivy behave for mom when she gets that call!

Hi Madeline, Ivy was very happy she was adored all day long. My son and I gave her lots of attention as we worked. She eventually went up to my bedroom for a long snooze. Spoiled girl.
It was crazy cold today. Glad I only went out for the mail.
And yes the wind was crazy here too.
I hope you and Butch have a cozy night together. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Deb, thanks for the nice wishes. Guessing we should meet the baby tomorrow. They live about 20 minutes away and glad it’s our local hospital.

Ivy did calm down today. Nice after yesterday’s roller coaster.
I agree it sucks to waste food. I wish they would be better about eating. I’m sorry Tiger can be so fussy. He’s such a good boy, though. It much be hard to be annoyed with him. Such a lover boy. I hope he’s feeling better.
Give him kisses from me please.

It was so windy today we actually lost power briefly, twice. And the generator kicked on. It was awesome. So it was a good test. (Regular power came back in quickly though). But whew!

I hope you’re having moderate weather. I hate going out when it’s so frigid out.

Hope you all have a nice night and Tiger surfs calmly :bighug::cat::bighug:
