Please know that I admire your dedication and commitment to Kit and the bond that you two share. It is an inspiration to me and I'm sure many others who have read your posts. :bighug:

I wish I had some magic words to help you through this, but I know there really aren't any. I'm with you in spirit, thoughts and prayers, now and always.

After I got home from teaching this morning, it quickly became clear that we couldn't wait until Wednesday. By 5 pm tonight it was done. My vet was amazing throughout the process. Eric and I are both pretty broken about it, but we'll get through it. Thank you so much to everyone for being there for us - she definitely wouldn't have made it to remission the first time, let alone make it so far into the second go round with your support and advice. ❤️❤️❤️
❤️❤️❤️

I am so sorry, Alicia.
Kitcat was a happy cat - had a great life with you.
You have been such a good kitty mom for her. You gave her so much love, care and at the end, change to go free.
I know no words will ease your pain. I'll be thinking of you. Sending you :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Alicia
My heart breaks into a million pieces for you.
I wish you can find comfort in knowing you did the most beautiful selfless act although the most painful :bighug::bighug::bighug:
Fly high sweet KitKat and land softly. I will look for her in the clouds :rb_icon:cat_wings>o:rb_icon:cat_wings>o

(((Alicia and Eric))) I am so sorry it was Kit's time. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug: She had a great set of parents looking after her during her diabetic journey. She knew so much love. I am glad you have a vet that does home visits, it makes is so much easier.

Take care of yourselves, be gentle with yourself the next while.
Fly free Kit, there are many FDMB friends ready to greet you. cat_wings>o

I’m so sad to read that you had to let Kit go. She was so beautiful and I know you loved her. It’s soooo hard to make that decision, isn’t it. I hate it. My heart goes out to you now. Take care.

Thanks, Kit. I think that's the thing that helps - she had a good long life of being a very spoiled cat. ❤️

Thanks, Wendy. And thank you for all of your advice and care during our time here. This forum was so instrumental on giving her an extra almost 5 years, and I will be always be eternally grateful. ❤️

For real, thanks to everyone for your support. We wouldn't be where we are without everyone's support, and we got a lot more years with my sweet and sassy girl with all of the help here. It has helped that we've been aware that this was probably coming sooner rather than later after a bad spell in August, so I think I've been mentally preparing for awhile. There are still rough moments, and I'm absolutely broken hearted, but I know it was a good thing, and that helps with not being unable to function. And this gives us the opportunity to bring a couple of new babies into our life.

Much love to you all. ❤️
