How well can you monitor the next while? This is at least drop #2 between 40 and 49 and there's a good chance the 3rd drop would come soon.

Also, when is his typical nadir time? Is it usually earlier in the cycle?

We can monitor rather well because hubi is on holiday. But I have to say that monitoring through the night has become difficult in the past year bc we're both hard worked and sleep deprived . We would be able to monitor during teh night in the next few days if you recommend because we're both having a bit more downtime now.

Fistuk's nadir is normally at +7 sometimes +6
 
I think there’s a pretty good chance he may be going lower at night, maybe on 12/1 but getting up at +7 would not be easy for me unless I woke up on my own. I’d never get back to sleep if I set an alarm.

I appreciate you saying it's hard for you to get up. makes me feel less guilty that I dont :/
Hubi said he'll get up at night for +7, so should I keep the dose tonight?
we're shooting in 15 mins...
 
Sorry I missed this. I will keep the dose and get up at +7 if the before bed test is green. With a line today I would reduce. A 38 means reduce.
 
Fistuk tends to bounce when he goes lime green. I'd get a +2 or +3 tonight and decide whether you need to get up at +7. My question is whether you can get earlier tests during the day than the +7 of the last 3 days, especially if he's nadiring around +6.

I decided to keep the dose since hubi said he'll get up to test him at night :bighug::bighug::bighug:

In the next few days we'd be able to test earlier. We normally test at +3 but in the past few days I thought that if I don't consider an increase/reduction then perhaps I could test only nadir.
You're right, he normally bounces to a low blue after a lime and since he satyed pretty much flat from PS I'll def get a +7 tonight

When I first saw the +7.25 =40, I immediately thought, hmm, I wonder what his +6 number was? Higher, and dropping to +7 or was it actually lower, and coming up to +7. I think I’d check some cycles earlier than the usual +7 nadir and see if you catch him lower there then rising.

Hi Christie, thanks for visitng us :)
I used to test +6 and he often went down at +7 which is why I take this test often. But I learnt that sometimes Fistuk has a moment where he's changing patterns so we'll take +6 more often to see if that's the case now.
Since Fistuk has become quite immobile he's not alerting me anymore when he's low, as he used to in the past. I could really trust him in the past to be very clear and let me know when he's lime. It's a shame it's not the case anymore and we're unable to keep getting up every night since we're both working during the day out of the house and need to have some good sleep.
Since he's gotten uncomfortable in his body he also doesn't like sleeping with us. he prefers to stay in his own bed. When he slept with us it was much easier to monitor during the night. Hubi is travelling abroad and I'll be with Fistuk alone in the next coming days. I'll take the opportunity to see if i can get him used to sleeping in bed with me again.
