10/23 Panini AMPS 358, +10 66, PMPS 150, +2 220

I tested Panini’s blood two hours after he ate and insulin was given. It went up to 220 which makes sense after food. Unfortunately he just threw up a lot of his food a minute ago.. :/

He's could be bouncing from that 66, plus maybe whatever made him vomit. Does he eat his food too fast? Perhaps give him just a little bit of food and see if he keeps that down for 1/2 hour, then feed again. The other possibility is there is something in the food that caused an allergic reaction. I see he has IBD.

He finished all of his food in one sitting, he doesn’t eat super fast. I had a cat that would vomit often after eating, panini doesn’t usually vomit. It was a large amount and the food wasn’t digested yet. I gave him a squeeze treat and 1/2 of cernia and a little food. He did eat it right up.. but shortly after visited my bedroom to have diarrhea on the floor.. hoping he keeps the food down. I gave him a little propectin for the diarrhea. The vet recommended the supplement after his pancreatitis bout. I didn’t give him anything out of the norm. He had his raw food with his probiotic powder and his amlodipine.
His possible IBD hasn’t been diagnosed yet, he has chronic soft/loose stools and sometimes blood in the stools. I read that with diabetic cats they can have EPI or IBD. And his symptoms sounded similar. I also give him a digestive enzyme powder.

Next time he has blood work, you might want to add the GI panel on. Texas A&M is the well known one of these. It will tell you if EPI is present. It is less common than IBD. Diarrhea is also a possible pancreatitis symptom.

Thanks, I will ask for that next time he does blood work. This is true, when he had pancreatitis in July he presented with vomiting, diarrhea, and not eating. I ended up changing his diet to raw and FF pate when he’s being a little picky and added supplements to see if it would help with his BM issues and to try to avoid anymore pancreatitis episodes..
He alwaysss wants to eat so I knew something was wrong. So far he has kept the smaller portions of food down.
Was Neko diagnosed with IBD with a biopsy? She was a beautiful baby btw. :bighug:

Thanks, she had a wonderful personality too. A great cat. And no, she did not get a biopsy. She had ultrasounds but due to her heart condition she could not have anaesthesia which is required for a biopsy. The IM vet and ultrasound vet were thinking it was more likely small cell lymphoma so we treated as such. She was on a raw diet at the time.
