09/23 BamBam AMPS 86

@ChrismazB
Did you read what @Wendy&Neko said in your previous post
She said

Are you following the ISFM guidelines for an OTJ trial? It says 2-4 weeks in normal numbers. So we'd consider him to be in an OTJ trial, not OTJ itself. Remission would be in 2 weeks if still normal numbers through the trial. With our dosing methods, he would have gone to a 0.1 units dose, before trying a trial.

I can also tag @tiffmaxee

Yes I read her post. So are you saying I should update my post to say OTJ trial?

I understand the dosing for TR is 0.1 before OTJ.
The ISFM Guidelines go to 0 after .25.
They also say that TR takes the kitties too low. So we are where we are.

He would still be considered in an OTJ trial, as today is just day 13 since you stopped insulin. Remission is after the trial is over. It would be good to get some PMPS tests too. We like to see him mostly in the 50-80 range for a strong remission. He seems to be running a little higher. The TR suggestion for 0.1 units before a trial is based on experience with kitties staying in remission.

Thanks. We are monitoring the BG and will continue, praying for remission.

Right now I'm concerned with the peeing and low SG and low PH. His urine sample was taken at 6:30 AM.

Any thoughts on that?
