Hi There , Yrsterday was a complete nightmare. It was hot and humid . Bailie had a hypo event yesterday morning so I had to test multiple times before he was safe and I had guys in the house putting heat pumps in so I had to keep the two cats into one room upstairs, which I stayed with them in. Bailie has been sleeping a lot lately in the heat. I hope this is normal but yesterday I also noticed he was breathing rather fast while sleeping. So I got very scared and took him to the emergency hospital, where they monitored him . when I first took him in, his heart rate was at 80 and a short time after it came down to 40. So I wasn’t unable to see the doctor, believe it or not because there’s only one vet at this emergency clinic. They’re very short staffed and I had to take Bailie home, but they wouldn’t have let him go home if they were concerned they told me that all his vitals were good and had goood colour and he was stable , he was coming down in his breathing so that was good. So I was able to take him home, but I was so terrified. He’s been great ever since. What wild day I had yesterday just scared to death. Horrible. I hope today is better. Yesterday he had no dose in the morning because he was 37 amps and it took a long time for his blood sugar to raise. Anyways, say prayers for Bailey I’m hoping that this is nothing really bad happening to him. But like I said he’s much better today. I guess it’s normal for them to sleep a lot in heat and humidity ? Also he does have asthma that’s is not at the stage for him to need medication . I hope everyone has a good day . @Bandit's Mom
