6/11 Rosemary (PMPS 147 / +1 131)

Unexpectedly low numbers for Rosemary tonight. Not sure if the mess up on her food schedule overnight last night (I passed out and she got her extra snack at 5am instead of midnight) is what's driving her down or if it's the cumulative effect of less dry food catching up? She still has access to small amounts of dry while we're still transitioning so I expected her to go up between shot and +1 but she dipped a little more. Numbers aren't crazy low but they're very low for her. She is also on several medications due to an injured foot (onsior, gabapentin, clavamox, buprenex) that could be affecting her numbers some. Hoping she levels or rises by her +3 check and snack so I don't have to worry about her dipping too much overnight

Good luck today. Those were some nice numbers in blue. Have a very safe surf Kait and Rosemary. I hope her foot feels better, too ❤️❤️

A reduction in dry can make a huge difference. Rosemary is looking like a poster kitten for low carb food.

Yes I think it does seem to be making an enormous difference. I gave her a little more kibble last night just to make sure she didn't drop more overnight and she shot back up this morning.

I'm unfortunately going out of town for 4 days a week from today so that's going to complicate things a bit but I think my plan is to get her up to the full daily offering of LC wet but still have the pet sitter give her a small twice daily serving of dry. She will probably run high that whole time but that's safer than the alternative, and then I can wean her off the kibble completely when I get home.

Cats tend to get hungry when they get lower than they're used to, right? So if her BG starts going low she'll naturally want to eat her kibble?

It's a bit ECID I'm afraid. Maybe you can observe between now and then. Post here a couple days before you leave and we can talk about a petsitter dose.
