317/287.. understand don't maybe need to test twice (ty! would like to save strips.. *cries), but for the SS, there is a difference in 200s and 300s.. (colors anyway..) I just put the 287.

his little ear seems a little inflamed from testing, tried moving it up the ear.. today he's not feeling too good I don't think. idk. this is challenging.. he's beautiful tho. and I see he's still in there.. but not feeling well sometimes.

not much playing.. his nose is a bit stuffy again and im not sure if he can see as well as he usually does. but we're trying over here. it does feel like a marathon.. it'll be almost 2 months soon and its felt like a slog lately. cause the Lantus confuses me. so happy he's on it.. but I am confused. just observing. I just truly, really wish we had been on Lantus to begin with.. to have had more of a head start, regulating at least would not have taken so long ideally.. because he's really sensitive and I feel like its taken a toll on us both the length of time already... but we're here.. tbh maybe needed to get used to things before doing the long acting.. idk. and again so glad he's on the Lantus but I know its early to judge anything yet.. but im seeing it taper off too, that what happening?.. but know the depot needs to build.
getting better at shot times.. Pudgles tho growled at me and was trying to get down but I had to stop him and give him his shot.. and turns out he had to go to bathroom.

pretty sure he ate enough prior to shot (how much is enough??).. but im always nervous. he ate more after. and just ate more now.. preparing the routine is more smooth. ALSO.. think have cracked it some with the damn bubbles:
when you have the syringe, and have withdrawn your amount, gently move what bubbles you can around, then pull it down a UNIT or a bit more, so it's empty up top and the bubble is mixed with the air, then eye the syringe and raise the plunger SLOWLY, making sure to keep the syringe upright, and the bubble should push right out with all the air as it goes up... like a charm. im definitely going to try this method again going forward, tonite was smooth as nothing else.. hoping this will also save insulin!!
@Shell
anyway thanks for listening.
