Did you skip the shot last night as well?

Has he eaten? Can you get another test right now and see where he is? Can you monitor if you give insulin?
 
We gave him his shot last night. I did test again about 20 min after the first one and he was at 138. I will be working from home today to keep an eye on him.
He's eating a bit, but not as much as he usually eats. EDIT - he's eating more now
 
Was the 138 after food or without food?

If you can monitor, you can give him the shot. Don't fill him up with food. Feed a part of his breakfast at +1 and +2. Since this lower than you have shot before you want to test at +1 and +2 (and feed a tsp of food after each test).
 
It would be a big help to us if you can set-up your signature? It's basically a summary of the information we need about your cat to give you advice.     • DKA or other recent health issue (if applicable)
    • Acro, IAA, or Cushings (if applicable)
    • Spreadsheet link. Please put the signature link on the bottom line of your signature information, on its own, so it is easy to find.
  • Please do not put any information about your location in the signature for security reasons. If you wish to add your country location, please add it to your profile.
  • There is a limit of two lines. You may separate info with commas, dashes, | etc.
  • Be sure to click the 'Save Changes' button at the bottom.

In your title it should be AMPS not AMBG
If you gave insulin yesterday morning can you fill in the dose in the U cell :bighug::cat::cat:
I see in your signature you have LC/Combo
Are you feeding any dry food ? If so you will need to follow SLGS method and change it on your signature and add it to your spreadsheet up top
