So this is totally new for me. Shooter "always" nadirs around +8 or +9 so when I checked him at +8 I happily went back to sleep thinking he might come down a LITTLE more would be back up by amps. However, his amps (which is truly +11.5) is 67 so I have no idea if he went even lower and is going back up or is still going down. I went ahead and fed him and stalled on the shot. I thought I'd check him at 7am (which will be +12). At that point what do I do? I leave for work in 45 minutes and won't be home until noon.

Hi Heather. Let’s ask for some help first

How much did you feed him? It looks like this new increased dose is kicking in for Shooter.

Normally if you are going to stalk the shot they tell you not to feed to see if the number is rising on its own without the influence of food.
I’m hoping we get someone to advise soon.
Is 7 am, now your regular time to shoot?

I’m concerned for you to shoot (your full dose) and not be home to monitor him closely). So I’d love to see what more experienced members will advise.

Agree, but watch he'll skyrocket either way. lol Better safe than sorry though. I'll check him again now and then lyk & decide. Hopefully someone else will see this by then.

Oops, well I did that wrong... He is now 80. I have to shoot in the next 5 min.

It's possible this might be an end-of-cycle nadir like you saw on 3/8.
You have to leave soon? Any chance you can delay?

Not much higher even with food :(
Maybe a reduced shot if you feel like that’s what you’d be comfortable doing since you won’t be home.
Since you use Levemir and it nadirs later (you should be home by his normal nadir, correct?)

I’d be a bit worried giving a full dose with him on a downward cycle and not really knowing if he was headed up or down without food.

Quite flat from AMPS. He should be okay after the MC. Does he have access to his usual food for the rest of the day?
