The reason I'd asked is that I found over time Neko did better if I sneaked down the dose, so a skinny 1.0 unit or fat 0.75 or whatever you call it. I'd increase by the full amounts, but decreased by small amounts. Unless she'd been dramatic telling me she wanted that decrease. Some cats are more sensitive to smaller changes. Which is easier to do consistently with a caliper, but people here were doing that when I started here as calipers weren't being used then.

Thanks Wendy
That's good info. Would I get the calipers at the pharmacy? Sorry for this silly question :p

My DH got me digital calipers at his favourite metalworking tool store. You can also get them on line. More info here: Dosing with calipers
As I said, people have done it with eyeballing those smaller changes too, so calipers are just an option.

Thanks Wendy. I'll look into it and will consider.
The first time around I eyeballed the whole time and we did good. I think this time around his pancreas is just not co-operating as it should be haha. But we'll see what happens once we increase tonight.
He seems to like 1U :p
