Increased to 2.25 this morning. I had to run out this morning to get groceries (personal) and to try to find 90ish feet of warm white LED rope lights for a dance piece that is using rope lights (work). The ones we got are the most fragile things ever, which is ridiculous for what they cost and the fact that they're outdoor lights.

Saw some greens just now, hopefully we'll see more of them now that we're back at her previous dose.

Hope everyone is having a good Friday!

Yikes on the tornadoes in February. That would freak me out. I don’t know how you ever get used to that. When we have one I grab Ivy and head to the basement. My DH usually stays in bed upstairs
if it’s late at night. I tell him If he gets carried away, it’s been nice knowing ya. But I’m sleeping downstairs with my girl.
Hope your pizza was great and you had a nice night.

Totally agree with this hierarchy. Is there a problem with that?? I don’t think so :joyful::joyful:

My friend/coworker is from the west coast, and she is not okay with tornadoes either.

When we were kids, because we lived in a valley, my sisters and I (and our parents) would hang out by our big picture window to see if we could see the tornado coming down the hill. They never did, it was too deep of a valley, but I've been told one did flick the roof of the elementary school once. I may have also driven across my college town when I was in undergrad in a tornado once because I didn't want to be caught on that part of campus, but wanted to be back on the regular part of campus. Mom was less thrilled about that one.

I've lived where I am now for almost 15 years, and it's only in the last few that I've even heard a tornado alarm (outside of first Wednesday of the month tests), and maybe last summer or the one before was the first time I was actually worried that one was close. It hit a few miles away, I think. But I've definitely gotten a bit blasé about it because they never seemed to get them here. Unless I'm at work. Then, since I'm also the building coordinator, I shoo everyone to the basement.

YES to the hierarchy, and NOTHING wrong with it....it's the same at my house...LOL!
Hope the tornado didn't do too much damage....I'm your typical Northeasterner...no tornadoes and flying monkeys for me....I couldn't handle that! Give me a good blizzard ANY day...LOL!

It hit two towns to the northwest of us pretty good - no injuries, but definitely some damage - lots of trees and power lines down, which is not great. I honestly should have more of a healthy sense of fear, because they can do major damage, I've just been really lucky. I think the biggest thing is that it was in February. The first time ever since they started tracking in the 50s, and there were three in northern Illinois, southern/mid Wisconsin. I would frankly welcome a blizzard at this point because we are so far behind on moisture. It was in the 50s yesterday and today. My mom, who lives in Nebraska, was sending me screenshots of news folks talking about the unprecedented tornadoes in Wisconsin.

I'm glad you increased, I hope she can ditch those yellows again.

Yikes on a February tornado! Never seen one, though have seen a pretty impressive version on water. In August when it's normal. We were on a sail boat and quickly changed our destination. :nailbiting:

lol. Lol. You were a bad girl. Your Mom must have been very worried. For good reason.

As an Easy coast girl, it’s so rare for us that, as Christine said, I picture flying monkeys and the witch on the broomstick ala The Wizard of Oz that I grew up loving.
Very glad you were safe.
I’ll take my basement every time though. I’m a big wimp. I don’t need to be sucked out of my bed upstairs. :nailbiting:
And Kit cat is looking like she’s getting back to her norm again. Good kitty.
Have a great night, Alicia :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Oh boy, Alicia! I didn't even know you could driven in tornado? I thought you would fly away!:eek::eek:
I've never seen one and the thought of it scares the heck out of me.

Kit cat is looking good! Hope she gets back on the program now that the routines are back!

I was hating those yellows, but knew it was a necessary evil for the short time I couldn't monitor. But now we're back! With a green PMPS even! :D

I haven't actually seen a tornado, and I'm pretty sure my laissez faire attitude would disappear pretty quickly - they're pretty dangerous. I know they still had about 150 people out of power this morning, and luckily it was 50 again today, but temps are supposed to drop in the next day or so, so I'm hoping they are getting folks taken care of soon.

Yeah, I *might* be an accident prone person (I get it from my mom), and her favorite phone calls from me are, guess what I hurt today! I always then quickly say, I promise I'm okay. But Eric frequently will tell me - you can't post that, your mother is going to worry, and then like 30 seconds later my phone rings. Those are less on purpose though.
We live in a second floor apartment, and are just sort of desensitized to the alarms going off, and it's inevitably when I'm making dinner, so we see where it is, and then I usually go back to cooking.
She does seem to be! Which makes me happy!

I mean, it was in Lincoln, Nebraska, which at the time was a 250,000 person city that was pretty spread out. And I was on the east side of town, trying to get to mid town, and the tornado was on the west side of town. So I was sort of driving towards it, but never saw it. The worst I saw was the rain and some hail. Actually driving into a visible tornado is beyond my pay grade.
She's looking pretty good today! She's currently about 5 feet behind me mrrrring at me because how dare I not be petting her. Except earlier when I wasn't doing anything, she was like, no, no touch, I must nap in the linen closet. Cats, amirite?
