@Suzanne & Darcy
It will be closer to 630 to do PMPS, my son has a hockey game. Should I do a test now?
Sure. If you want to... then we could see if he's trending down like yesterday. But that's good to know. I should be able to check in with you about 6:30. I have to go pick up one of my cats from the vet, poor Little Girl had orthopedic surgery yesterday on her knee. She had to stay the night, and I'm bringing her home this afternoon. I just set up her crate (she has to be in there for 6 weeks or more) and, of course, the crate tray was broken (should have opened it before to see) so I just got off with Amazon who's sending a replacement, but she'll have to use this broken one until then. I have it all covered up on the bottom anyway. But I should be home and taking a breather by 6:30.

Oh no poor kitty! 6 weeks omg, I got my kitten neutered a couple months ago and keeping him in a room away from the other animals and a cone on his head. I got no sleep the first couple nights!

Thomas PMPS was 144.

Okay. I really do think that you should skip the dose tonight. It’s just lower than my comfort zone for the amount of data that we have. If he were closer to 200 like last night, I would like to see how he would do on a dose of .25 or .5 units. But this one is a little lower.

Well, sure, it’s good to be in blue numbers. I would like to give a little insulin. Just a token dose, but we don’t have much data at the lower numbers. The lower numbers are definitely good. I’m hopeful!

ok! I will! How is the kitty?
Oh good grief. She can’t really walk. Bandaged up to the hip. Bandage os coming down and We can see the sutures. So very unsanitary. She’s been flailing around in the litter box. I have to keep picking her up out of it. She was encrusted in wet litter. I have her cleaned up and I have applied new non-stick pads and vet wrap bandage to the exposed portion of her leg. I will have to take her back in the morning for re-bandaging. Ugh! But she was hungry and ate well. Not happy about having her leg touched. So it must be painful.

Oh wow, hopefully it doesn’t get infected. Maybe she will be worn out and sleep rather than mess with it. Poor girl.

Should I keep it at 1 unit this morning? I doubt I will have a chance to swing by house today. If I can I will tho.

Oh, and about this morning, I am so sorry. I assumed that you would shoot the 1 unit with his red AMPS since you had previously done that before. It’s my fault for not being specific in my communication this morning!

ok .5 unit. I am good for about 3 hours for sure. In a hour and then in 2?? You tell me. I just don't know if I can stay up later, we will see how my body feels.

No problem. I am somewhat getting it, I thought I was understanding it then the bouncing happens and I am lost again.

How is the kitty?
She’s okay. But she can’t walk. So she flops around. Her bandage keeps coming off as well. I took her back to the vet today to be rebandaged, but the incision comes up so high on her leg there is not a lot of space to put a bandage above it so it keeps sliding down. There’s only so tight they can make it.

Okay. Checking in on him before I check out for the night! He is still pink. He is a bit baffling, I admit. I wish I knew what was going on with him during the long stretches where we don’t know what happened- like today. We can’t tell if he dropped low-ish (low for him) today or not.

See… today if he did drop into a blue or a green (he has done it before) then maybe his yellow PMPS was the beginning of a bounce (his numbers rising). But we didn’t know. We will figure this out.

I
It looks like a bounce, but that’s just inference since we don’t know where he was today.
I am so sorry. I know this is incredibly frustrating.
It’s been almost a year of frustration. Atleast I’m not buying a bottle of insulin and rx food every week!
I will be gone in the morning but I can test more tomorrow. I am going to bed now. We will see how tomorrow looks.
