Yay! That was quick. You want to ask the vet for painkillers and antibiotics (clindamycin) if there is an infection.

They are sending her home with Clindimycin and metacam

Just reconfirm the dose of metacam (meloxicam). Many vets make the mistake of prescribing dog dosages for cats. In other countries, there is cat strength of Metacam (0.5 mg/ml) which is much lower than the dog strength (1.5 mg/ml). Not sure about the US.

Ok... I'll have to check with them. Just got her home and settled in, checked BG and it's at 515! I mixed a little turkey baby food with a little water and she's only taken one tiny lick so far. My wife has an appointment that we have to leave for in about a half hour... Will it be ok to leave her for about an hour and a half? She's in a big dog kennel with a litter box, her little kennel and a tiny bowl with the little bit of watered baby food.

I did ask... It is the 1.5mg/ml but they have a formula specifically for cats that they use to figure dose.
