Waking up to purring and Fistuk's special meow for being cuddly is a real treat :joyful:

He woke up once for poo and it was much better. Still soft but more shaped and doesn't leave him smeared so no shower drama. S.Bouldarii emergency dose really did the trick. So grateful.

He was retching once more at night but I'm certain we're at the tail end of this spiritual cleanse. I will hold off with homeopathy for the moment until he's more regulated and strong since this is powerful stuff and he's always responding to it immediately so I can't take chances of disrupting the equilibrium we've reached so far.

He's eaten some by himself. Rest with syringe. Had quite a few bites when he woke up so by BF time he didn't want much. I gave some with syringe for the shot and will give more at +1.

He also pees only in the box now. He still needs help to get off the bed and he uses his psychic powers to wake me up so I can take him to the potty.

His whole energy looks more vibrant and alive today. I'm also getting better at giving the shots and am quite certain now that he's putting the show for me when he growls because I start with poking him with my finger and by the time I use the syringe he's a bit confused by the fact it doesn't hurt and he doesn't even notice it's over :woot::woot::woot:

I'm still very tired. But it's such a beautiful day I'm going to treat myself for a walk once I've tested him and know where he's heading :coffee:

Even a tsp is enough as far as his numbers are concerned.

With better numbers he is bound to be less hungry. I'm going to tag @Bron and Sheba (GA) to ask if he still needs to eat 1.5x the number of calories considering he has now broken into good numbers and has had zero ketones for the last few days.

I would still try and get him to eat more than he normally does. Maybe not the 1.5x but still more than normal. It isn't 3 weeks yet since he was in hospital and he has had diarrhoea for the last few days which was a concern.
I hope you are grabbing timeout for yourself to catch up on some rest Shelly

That makes sense to me. He's very sleepy today. After the morning when he was quite alert and awake. He really doesn't want to eat. I hope this changes soon.

I managed to have a bit of a nap. I'm still so so tired

Hi Shelly, I hope Fistuk feels better today. Seems he’s on the road to feeling better each day. I hope you can get some rest, too. Hugs to you :bighug:

What's the rule for tonight in dosing? Does he get 5U no matter the numbers? I guess unless he's below 50
Let's see what he does for the rest of the cycle and where he is at PMPS. He doesn't earn a reduction unless he drops below 50. However, considering he's green in the second cycle after a skip and you badly need rest, we could take a reduction or give a token dose. Let's see what he does and then decide.

Pretty flat right?

What's a token dose?

He's eaten bit by himself now.

Gave 80ml SQ earlier. Stool was still patty like but more together and some shade of darken brown

It's a fraction of the full dose. Anywhere from 25-50% of the dose. Since he has a history of DKA, a skip is not advised. So you give a little insulin just to prevent his numbers from shooting up.
So what do you suggest for tonight? Or do you want to see what he's doing at OMOS?

He does seem to be flat. Let's see the PMPS. This is new territory for Fistuk so we have very little data to go on. I realize you need sleep. :bighug: If it were not for his history of DKA, it would be a much easier decision. :(
