I'm fairly new to this board and should be posting more and definitely taking more numbers. In a group where regular data is needed to help in medical circumstances i feel i have to explain why there isn't regular data.
My son has been very ill and 4 weeks ago was found near death in a park.He was rushed to hospital. The hospital didn't watch him properly and he snuck out of the hospital and obtained medication from a dr and took it all again. This time he was found dead in ICU but luckily was revived after 2 minutes. However that 2 minutes did some damage. He is now scheduled/committed so is watched more carefully in a secure part of the hospital.
The hospital is a 6 hour round trip and I have no one nor is there anyone to pay to take Bonnie's numbers every day. I live in a semi rural area and can't even find anyone else with a diabetic cat and the Vet has none in his practice.
I can't lose both of them but my other son lives nearby and can feed her and give insulin but can't test. So I drive up and back between shots. I'm lucky if I eat on those days. I hate telling ppl this but as the point of this group is to perform regular tests so the data can be used to help Bonnie I need to explain why I don't have that data.
Bonnie picks up on my stress levels obviously. Her sister has been a hell cat since losing her brother and needs to be held down for nail clipping. She doesn't care about any of us except when she wants my body to keep her warm! As Bonnie is doing so well now fighting has re started. It's not uncommon for a ball of screeching fluff to roll past me several times a day.
So I post when I need help and it always seems to be a day when time is of the essence so everything is an emergency to me bcoz I'm usually rushing off for my medical issues if not my sons. An old saying goes like this "God never give us more than we can handle." We that's OK for him to say as he's got mighty powers but us humans are often fighting to keep our heads above water!! If I wake up and get the cats fed and Bonnie's BG & insulin done it's a good day. Of course if I plan a curve I forget the morning shot lol!
Please bear with me as I'm doing the best I can under these life interrupting conditions.
Thanks for understanding and may you get to heaven 5 minutes before the devil knows you're dead !!!
Debbie the human, Bonnie the sugar cat & youngest and Missy who doesn't give a damn unless it's about her!
