Wonder if he went a bit low yesterday while I was out, had dh feed lc often but he didn’t test. Seemed a little high/flat overnight, then dropped for shot….which was supposed to be at around 5am to accommodate my schedule this eve….but no. Took me 40 minutes of play session, ignoring him pretending to be busy with other stuff in kitchen, making coffee I didn’t want as for once I was going to be able to go back to bed for an hour (fat chance) before herman would finally jump up to one of his feed/needle stations so I could give him his shot. There is NO chance of a shot once herman feels threatened. Picking him up and putting him on a station is a death wish. You have to wait till he decides and jumps up and eats, and then…though he may hiss and growl as you approach, he generally isn’t too bad for the actual shot. So I waited. …I know consistency in timing of shots with Lantus in important but some days there’s not much I can do about it.
I should note that as I write this I am sitting with a coffee with my legs up and Herman is making biscuits with his pointy toes and scratchy toenails on my barely covered ankles and calves, purring and chirping while I grimace in pain until he is happy with the nest he’s made. The things we do for our cats.
