Hi Everyone, I am helping Annette Stewart with Spot learn to help her diabetic kitty, diagnosed in end of June. She doesn’t know how to use the FDMB so I am posting for her.
I am rusty on the info of trying to get the right dose as you can see my boy passed in 2019.
She is going back to work August 21st & wont be able to test as much while working so she wants to find s a”safe” dose so he doesn’t go too low when she isnt home & not be too high to cause issues.
He used to eat more dry food so she had to get Dr Elseys clean protein to give him some crunch as he was possibly stealing the dogs food as I noted.
I included his spreadsheet link below, he went up to 1 units & I think he may be bouncing as he is going more than 100 pts down at those times but I am not completely sure. Should he go up to 1.25 unit dose now? Or is she just missing the lows. I assume the nadir is between +3 & +4.
Also any advice on how to work & test diabetic kitties? I never had that issue.
so please remind me so I can help her balance him so she can go to work without worry. Thanks alot.
