Hello, Low PS this morning. He had a bath last night so I decided to stall.

AMPS 58

Ive been stalling and testing every 15 min:
.15@58
.30@55
.30@53
.45@49 -- I fed here because he's still dropping, just usual +0 LC meal, 2 tbsps

I still have NOT SHOT.

What should I do??
test again and feed HC?
never been in this situation, I've stalled before but he awlays heads up during stalling not down.

1.15@62

last test was 5 min ago, numbers going up but could be a food spike.
Yes I can monitor.
If I shoot now should I shoot regular 1.5 dose or 1.25 since he's been below 50?

Abbott is a long term diabetic? Then reductions are under 40.
Even if you reduce to 1.25, the higher depot will influence at least the first half of the cycle.
Is he a good eater? Do you have MC and HC foods?
Looks like you're an hour passed shot time. How much longer can you stall?
If it were me, I'd shoot the full dose and test at +1 and +2 along with giving a tsp of LC after each test.
No pressure :bighug: and I will stick around.

I tested again at 1.30 and he was at 83.
I just shot full dose of 1.5 at 1.30 with usual LC feeder amount so -- 1 and 1/2 hours after his usual shot time.

Sometimes when stalling the numbers fall without food.

Great Job shooting! :)I know how scary it is.

While we wait for the next test and snack, can you do a little SS housekeeping by stacking all those BG readings in the AMPS column?

I really don't know if that was the right way to handle it, but I was just following the low numbers/low PS sticky advice.
I probably shot too late, hope I don't get a huge bounce. Last few tests he was really zooming up.
I will set the feeder to go off at usual times from this new shot time and test at 1 and 2.
yeah i can try to get those number in there. Ugh what a mess

That's why the stickies are there!

You can get back on track by shooting 15 minutes early every cycle for (in your case) the next 5 cycles or you can shoot 30 minutes early tonight, tomorrow night and Wednesday night.

You didn't screw anything up :bighug: he'll recover.

If you can monitor, you can shoot any number over 50 with TR. Like Angela said, stalling without food can cause numbers to drop further. He stayed flat after 30 mins of stalling and you could have shot :-) I know this is the lowest PS you have encountered, but if you have supplies and can monitor, you can shoot.

Yes you’re right, I should have shot after 30 min. He was still dropping slightly but with meter varaiance it was basically flat. As for the PS of 58, I would normally shoot that but he had a bath last night and stressed out and was wet for a while. I was worried something was off. But thanks for the info maybe that will help my decision next time. +1 is in the 90s so that sucks lol.

do you think I should shoot 30 min early tonight and what should I be watching out for tonight you think?

Yes. You can either shoot 30 mins early every day (ref Angela's example above) or advance it by 15 mins every cycle. As for what you should be watching out for, only he knows. LOL. Jokes apart, he doesn't seem to prone to anything dramatic usually. Was this morning only the 2nd lime since diagnosis?
