Happy Monday! Hope those celebrating had a great Memorial Day! I hope everyone is doing well, and all the kitties are feeling good. Life got very busy, but I wanted to say hello to my friends here and send good wishes to you all. Biggie sends meows, too!
I took Biggie’s bg a few days ago, and it was 77, around the range it usually is.
Biggie celebrated his sweet 16 earlier in May.
He’s doing well, thank goodness. He had a second dental in March (after having one in Dec) because he started making grinding noises with his teeth again. The vet took out some residual roots from his incisors that had fallen out on their own but left little roots. He also had developed bad gingivitis again. So now he gets his teeth brushed daily (almost) with a finger tooth brush, which seems to be helping. He does still make odd chewing/grinding sounds occasionally but I think it might be related to his digestion, with a touch of ibs. I also have him on mirataz every third day for his appetite, which otherwise just wanes too much.
He gets slippery elm bark twice a day and psyllium once a day, and so far that seems to be the magic combo to help him poop daily (*almost).
He’s sitting in my lap helping me as I write this. Have a great evening, all!
