Need advise!

Ike's BG was 23.6 this morning then all low through the day. Now PMPS was7.8 then 45 min later 8.4 . Now giving food. Should I give 1.75U insulin if BG is above 10 after eating or skip the jab?
Worried will bounce high again if I skip ...
 
Hi Helga, sorry I didn't respond sooner. You might want to start posting in the Lantus forum where you would get more eyes on your post from other Lantus users:

Ike has a earned a reduction back to 1.75U.

I see that you aren't giving insulin when her preshot test is below 150 or so. Lantus is very good at giving flat cycles when you shoot low. You shot a 187 on 3/1. The 150s and 160s are not very different. With SLGS you can shoot any number over 90. If you encounter a number that you aren't comfortable shooting, stall without feeding and post for help. If the number is rising without food (you would test again after 20 mins), it is usually safe to give the shot - especially if you can get another test later in the cycle.

Today she was comfortably higher at PMPS than her nadir and was likely to bounce from the lows of the day so you could have shot.
