Buddy's numbers have been great and his BMs have been regular again (previously had constipation issues).

He's been mostly in the 90s the past couple of days and at +2 tonite he was 72 for the first time in a long time.

What should we be doing?

Please get a test at +3? What do you have in higher carbs?

With TR you would hold the dose unless he drops below 50 and earns a reduction. On 26th it will be a year since diagnosis?

This is great news! :-)

Hi @Bandit's Mom :)

I wasn't able to get a +3 test but i did get a +6 - he was 91.

I have Earthborn Holistic Chicken Fricatssee and Chicken Catcciatori (got the carbs from this page: https://catinfo.org/docs/CatFoodProteinFatCarbPhosphorusChart.pdf)

Yes, 1/26 will be one year since his diagnosis.

This is the first time we've been able to get him in a good range for an extended period of time. We are excited and nervous - just want to be sure to continue to do what we need to.

Wow look at that 49 from last night, congrats on the reduction! The new dose should be 6.25 if you're following TR. Spreadsheet says you shot 6.4 this morning though, maybe that's a typo?

@lbeachstace Buddy is on a fairly high dose of insulin and it's wonderful that he is finally seeing some green numbers, his pancreas might be trying to heal I am so happy for you!!

BUT please take heed of the experts like Tiffmaxee, and reduce to 6.0 because he had that BG of 49....we don't want Buddy to have a hypoglycemic episode. Do you guys have all the hypo stuff handy? (high-carb food, karo, etc)

[edit] oops there's a newer condo I should not have replied to this one! Too early...need coffee
