Hey folks.

Been working in the office this week. Unable to test as much as I'm just too exhausted from the stress of actually being around others. I think this IS the lowest I will ever have shot at. Any advice???

He seems to be be bouncihg more later on at night, several times when I've done +2's he's at 3.6. I think a dose reduction might eventually be in order here, but I'm gonna have to catch him under 50 which he never seems to get to.

On the other under under TR I've been advised not to raise his dose as he's close to 50.

Just gave him his 1.25; if he drops lower than 50 at +2 then so be it, then we can reduce his dose. TR calls for shooting at this level. Sam's average reading over the last 14 days has now been 7 mmol/l. His fructosamine would probably tell the vet he's in remission (even though he definitely is not lol).

Sam’s looking good! You basically shot this number on the 8th but it is the lowest, so nice shot :)

My bit of advice is to get a +2 and use that as a crystal ball into the cycle. If he’s flat or lower, feed a little and I’d get another test at around +4; if it’s a bigger drop (and it’s not into the limes), feed a little (just a tsp, you always want to make sure there some room in the belly incase they need it later) and test sooner. If he’s higher chances are it won’t be an active cycle - kinda looks like you’re already doing all of this anywho ;)

I rarely missed a +2/3 test. It really helped me know what to expect into the cycle, especially when we started seeing lower preshots and greens surfs throughout the night.

I’m about to head to bed but thought id drop my advice here first. Surf safely, Sam!

What Kim said! That +2 can be very helpful. I'm a little worried about the night of the 9th, when he had a big drop to +2, then no more testing. Hopefully he got lots of food to munch on. And then last night with no test results. With Sam flirting with a reduction, you do need to be watchful. If for some reason you cannot test as much (hey, life happens!), you could do that reduction until you have the time/energy to increase back if he needs it. Safety first!

Good job on the low shoot. Hopefully Sam will get a reduction soon. I was worried about you because I hadn't seen you post in a few days. I sent you a message than I saw your post. Surf safely Sam.
