Squirrel will not eat low carb? I think you've said so before, but I can't remember.

She will eat his LC leftovers but is very reluctant to eat it fresh. She has CKD so I give her whatever she will eat. :( ETA that she gets MC at the highest.

This morning's BG of 114 was fasting; I've gone back to using the timed feeder to make sure. They ate very little during the night and were so hungry that they were both barfing.

+3 is 78.

How worried should I be about this?

I'm less experienced than most people here, but from my point of view, a BG drop from 114 to 78 in three hours is the sign of a quite robust pancreas. If I were in your place, I will keep using the timed feeder for a few days more to see the trend of BG. But I think more importantly is that either find a way for Ben not to get into Squirrel's MC food (something like a microchip feeder that recognize individual cat might work, however expensive), or find a LC/CKD food both cats like.

That sounds like a good idea. I would only need one, for Squirrel, because it is fine for her to eat his food.

I do think a microchip feeder would be a good idea. His pancreas is definitely bringing down the BG so so far seems food related.

How worried do you think I should be, Elise? I only want to see green now! Nothing but green! :)

I wouldn't worry, unless either his numbers start creeping even higher, or you don't see a difference once you get a feeder for Squirrel.
