We haven’t had a number this high in almost a year. I really don’t know what’s going on with him.

He has peed outside of the box a few times, but he’s jumping up onto a shelf and into a basket to do it, so I’m not sure what to make of that. He was just at the vet in July and they said no UTI then. Plus blood work in May and everything was normal.

Hmm :/

It is a little odd. The numbers don't quite concern me, but definitely something to consider.

But I don't like the peeing thing. Does he have anything else going on? I saw the sores noted, what do they say about that?

George what are you up to buddy? It does seem like he must have some little infection somewhere.......
Or....these bigger numbers yesterday and today are from that possible fur shot recently.?

The sores were concerning me because he had never had them before, but they appear to have just been an allergic reaction. Thankfully they were completely gone when I got back Sunday night. He’s been getting more outdoor time on our patio, so my guess is maybe he rubbed up against a plant or something? I’m not sure, but I can’t think of any other changes we’ve made that would cause a reaction.

The peeing outside of the box thing is frustrating because he uses his box fine otherwise. It seems almost more cumbersome for him to specifically have to jump up onto a shelf and into a basked to do it :banghead:

He came back down today, which is good, but I wish I had a reason for him becoming less tightly regulated lately.

Hopefully that has something to do with it! I hate to see these higher numbers when he was doing so well for so long. Wouldn’t it be nice if they could just tell us how they’re feeling :cat:

If he keeps it up I may try to take a urine sample in. Although the vet probably thinks I’m a little nutty for how often I ask her to test for UTIs haha.

I know! If only there was a way they could tell us.

I used to work as a vet's assistant - and you would've just struck me as a good cat mama. :cat: You're just being diligent. Not nutty :D plus that's what you pay them for!

I'm so glad to see George's PMPS tonight. Wayyy better! And glad to hear his little sores went away.
